Efficient & Enjoyable Friday Club Nights

We are pleased to announce some changes to club night that will help to ensure we get started and finish on time, while still providing a relaxed and fun atmosphere for members and parents. Please remember this is a volunteer organisation and we need everyone's support.

1: Entries are now quick and easy to do online - Instead of lining up at the registration desk, you can visit www.mbra.org.au and in only a few minutes, swimmers will be entered. Entries are open from Tuesday so you have plenty of time to get this done. Online entries will close at 5pm on Fridays. We ask all members to use this option to ensure we start on time. The registration desk should now only be used by new  "trial" swimmers.

2: If you have made an Elevation Time for an event, you will only receive points for the longer distance and no points for the shorter distance should you choose to swim it. We are trying to encourage swimmers to only swim the distance they are in the Elevation Time for on regular club nights (except for Time Trial nights). Please do not enter swimmers in a distance that they have not achieved Elevation Times for.

3: Time Keepers please be ready at 6.20pm. Rather than calling for time keepers each week, we are asking for each family to provide a time keeper at least once per month. An important part of a club that is run by volunteers is for you to volunteer. Timekeeping is simple and requires you only to press the stop button, write down the time and encourage the kids - you do not need to worry about starts and resets. Please speak to Gary at club night to show you how easy it is. We will not be able to start club night on time unless you are prepared to volunteer and time keep.

4. Our raffle is run each week instead of an entry fee. We do not charge for club night, but the club needs our financial support. The weekly raffle allows us to put up a prize while also raising important funds for the club. Please buy your tickets each week.

5. Help to Pack-Up. Though we understand at the end of club night you are eager to get your children home, there is still work to be done after the final race. Many hands make light work and we ask that if you can help for 10 mins, that you pitch in to carry things back to the club room rather than leaving it to the people who have given their time to run club night for you and your children.

If club night runs past 8pm then we may be asked to finish without completing the program. Please help us to start and finish on time.

We welcome feedback from those helping on pool deck - but complaints from the stands are not as well received!! :)

This is "OUR" club - so please get involved.
